As METSAN INDUSTRIAL ADHESIVES TRADE INC., we show utmost sensitivity regarding the security of your personal data. With this awareness, we attach great importance to ensuring that all kinds of personal data belonging to all individuals associated with our Company, including those who benefit from our products and services, are processed and stored in accordance with the Law on the Protection of Personal Data No. 6698 (“LPPD”).

With full awareness of this responsibility and in our capacity as the Data Controller, we process your personal data within the framework described below and within the limits prescribed by law.


1. Collection, Processing, and Purposes of Processing Personal Data

Your personal data may vary depending on the services, products, or commercial activities offered by our Company. It may be collected through automated or non-automated means, verbally, in writing, or electronically through offices, dealers, websites, social media platforms, and similar channels. Your data may be processed and updated as long as you benefit from our products and services.

Additionally, your personal data may be processed when you use our website intending to utilize our services, when you visit our Company or website, or when you participate in training, seminars, or events organized by our Company.

Collected personal data will be processed for the following purposes:

  • To carry out necessary work by our business units so that you can benefit from our products and services,

  • To customize the products and services offered by our Company according to your preferences, usage habits, and needs,

  • To ensure the legal and commercial security of our Company and those in business relations with it (e.g. communication operations, physical security, supplier/customer/partner evaluations, legal compliance, financial affairs),

  • To determine and implement our Company’s commercial and business strategies,

  • To manage our Company’s human resources policies,

as per the conditions and purposes specified in Articles 5 and 6 of the LPPD.


2. To Whom and For What Purposes Processed Personal Data May Be Transferred

Your collected personal data may be transferred, within the scope of the purposes listed above, to:

  • Our business partners,

  • Suppliers,

  • Shareholders,

  • Legally authorized public institutions and private individuals,

in accordance with Articles 8 and 9 of the LPPD.

In addition, your data may be transferred:

  • To manufacturers to improve service quality or extend product warranties upon customer request,

  • To media and public relations agencies, social media companies for marketing and promotional purposes,

  • Abroad through travel agencies for organizing campaign-related visa and travel procedures.


3. Method and Legal Basis for Collecting Personal Data

Your personal data is collected by verbal, written, or electronic means for the purposes stated above, and to enable our Company to fulfill its contractual and legal obligations fully and properly.

Based on this legal ground, the personal data collected can be processed and transferred for the purposes stated in sections (1) and (2) in accordance with Articles 5 and 6 of the LPPD.


4. Rights of the Data Subject under Article 11 of the LPPD

As personal data subjects, you may submit your requests regarding your rights to our Company. Upon receipt, we will respond to your request free of charge within a maximum of thirty (30) days, depending on the nature of the request. However, if the response requires a cost, a fee may be charged in accordance with the tariff determined by the Personal Data Protection Board.

In this context, data subjects have the right to:

  • Learn whether personal data is processed,

  • Request information if personal data has been processed,

  • Learn the purpose of processing and whether it is used in line with its purpose,

  • Know the third parties to whom data has been transferred domestically or abroad,

  • Request correction of incomplete or incorrect personal data,

  • Request deletion or destruction of personal data within the framework of the legal conditions,

  • Request notification of the correction or deletion to third parties to whom the data has been transferred,

  • Object to the occurrence of a result against the person through the analysis of data exclusively through automated systems,

  • Request compensation for damages in case of unlawful processing.

According to Article 13 of the LPPD, you may send your request in writing or by other methods determined by the Personal Data Protection Board. Since the Board has not yet specified another method, applications must be submitted in writing for the time being.


5. How to Submit Requests Regarding Your Rights

You may submit your written application, including:

  • Details sufficient to identify your identity,

  • A clear explanation of your request based on your rights listed in Article 11 of the LPPD,
